Who are the Felician Sisters?
The Felician Call
The Felician call embraces the charism of
Blessed Mary Angela
It is a call to walk in the Franciscan
tradition so loved by her:
To
live the Gospel in justice and truth,
To
radiate joy as we live in poverty and simplicity,
To
become transformed into Christ through contemplation
and
personal conversion,
to
persevere in penance as we journey in faith and
to
share our diverse gifts with each other in community
and
with our sisters and brothers.
The Felician call challenges us to live a
vowed life of poverty, chastity and
obedience
in the spirit of the beatitudes,
to
love the Church and her mission,
to
treasure the Eucharist,
to
deepen our love for Mary, our model of faith.

As we strive to balance prayer and service
in our lives,
we
are enlivened and stimulated by our personal love of Christ.
We are women of the Church and our total
surrender to God impels us
to
reach out to the needy, the lowly, the poor and the marginal,
with
joyful, compassionate hearts.

As Felician Sisters animated by the spirit
of Blessed Mary Angela,
we
live our motto:
"All
through the heart of Mary in honor of the Most Blessed Sacrament,"
and
cooperate with Christ in the spiritual renewal of the world.
The Felician Sisters and the Mission of Jesus
Felician Formation
Postulancy: Living in the Felician Community, the postulant participated daily in prayer, community life and ministries of the Felician Sisters. She becomes better acquainted with the community and tests her ability to live as a Felician Sister.
Novitiate: Deepening relationship with Christ is the main purpose of the novitiate. Particular emphasis is placed on prayer life and practices which foster spiritual growth, spiritual direction, and study of the vows, rule and constitutions. The second year includes a six-week experience of the apostolic life at a local convent.
Temporary Profession: This period provides opportunities for on-going spiritual, personal, social and apostolic development prior to a permanent commitment to God and to the Felician community.
Perpetual Profession: The sister freely chooses to make a life-long commitment to Christ as a Felician Sister.
